The Hundredth Hill Emerging Theatre Residency

Krista Detor hosts 9 graduates from NYU's prestigious Tisch School of The Arts for a summer-long residency, culminating in a series of socially-distant performances at her non-profit Artist Residence and Retreat, The Hundredth Hill.

The residents are part of a brand-new Emerging Artist series, created in collaboration with Kyndall Sillanpaa, NYU graduate, in response to the inability of NYU's 2020 class to stage their senior works in New York due to COVID-19.

The troupe will attempt to reimagine and recreate theatre experiencces in a safe, outdoor, socially-distant environment, and will be recording both the process and the final products along the way.

In September and October, 3 short works and 2 full-scale pieces will be developed.

This is Detor's way of staying inspired and fostering inspiration, and she's thrilled to be part of the magic that these young theatre-makers will devise!
